Y’all I love my earrings! They say “be brave”. When I started my blog and this Instagram that’s what I was doing, I was stepping out and trying to be brave.
I am normally a private person, I don’t like having my picture taken and don’t like being the center of attention. But I felt like I had all these thoughts inside that I needed to get out and blogging was a great outlet.
Then I felt like everything dried up, I had nothing to say. I had a lot going on in my personal life, children, family and then the holidays hit. I felt apathetic and like I had nothing else to contribute. I considered shutting everything down.
But in my spare time I began following different Instagram accounts and seeing stories of people’s lives and their experiences. I started getting more and more inspired by all of these people who were sharing personal stories. Sharing their lives, their mental health, their physical health, their skin, their marital problems, their family, and their children.
I think it’s awesome that people have used the Instagram platform to start being real.
I think we, as a society, are so tired of all the falsities in our media that our human collective has found a way to fight back.
I hope to be a part of fighting back.
To break stigmas, to start dialogs and impart kindness on others! This, I feel,is my small contribution in helping bring about positive energy to a hostile world. Life is tough enough to navigate on its own that we don’t need the negative crap anymore!!
